This spectacular warm blood bred in Poland is beautifully marked being black, dark bay and white with no feather at all. He has big expressive paces, excellent conformation and a superb calm outlook on life with an excellent temperament making him an ideal choice for nervous/maiden mares and those who require a very level headed stallion.

Having made an excellent recovery from a fractured pastern as a 4 year old, even though sound we have decided to retire him to stud where his huge ability to sire top class ridden competition horses can be maintained without putting added stress on his old injury. He has passed a rigorous vetting and inspection by Weatherby’s NTR to obtain a dual registered status. Nico to ride was exceptionally quiet and well balanced proving to be very calm, sensible ride that showed a brave scopey jump over a pole. He was bold and brave across country and hacked out alone and in company, his intelligence made him an eager, ever willing pupil. He was working elementary level and was placed every time he competed He was shown in hand twice– winning both times, including at the 1997 CHAPS Championship show at Southview–Coloured Warmblood Futurity 2 yr old colt class. He produces quality foals with fabulous paces and has an extremely high percentage of coloured foals from non-coloured mares including Black, Grey, Chestnut and Cleveland Bay Mares.

Coloured Warmbloods have been bred in Poland for many generations as they combine the elegance of the Trakehner, with the quality of the thoroughbred and truly spectacular colour.

Nico’s blood line contains the French thoroughbred blood of Aquino, Tornado, Ballymena and the Trakehner blood of Traum and Eliop. Aquino won group 1 races – the Ascot Gold Cup, the Cryterian Saint-Cloud and also group 2 races the Doncaster Cup and the Pre-Daru. His sire, Tornado, won the Pre-Lupin ( group 1 race ) and the Pre-Daru. Traum, a successful son of Pilger who produced many graded Broodmares and also Eliop who was exported to America.

Traum jumped in two Olympics (Mexico and Munich) and produced high quality Stallion – Aspirant - exported to the USA. Hildalgo – from the Parsival / King Tom XX line - was known for throwing offsprings like himself with very good conformation and movement. He produced foundation Broodmares and six Stallions, including Celsius (great grandsire of Donauwind). Bard was a highly successful performance Stallion in his own right.

Recesja produced four coloured graded Stallions, all pure bred coloured Trakeheners including Rewir and his best son Nil (Nico’s Grand Sire) who have dominated Polands coloured breeding for a long time and descendents can be found all over Europe showjumping. Isaria was the dam and grand dam of graded mares Inga, Ida, Irga and Istra.

It is the Wielkopolski (Wlpk) which has been used more extensively in sport, it has been used for eventing and Polish event teams have done well internationally. The breeding policy is highly selective and potential Stallions are first examined as foals, tested for conformation, paces and jumping technique and regularly tested thereafter before being allowed to be exported as breeding Stallions.

Centyfield Nico produces quality foals with fabulous paces and has an extremely high percentage of coloured foals from non coloured mares including Black, Grey, Chestnut and Cleveland Bay Mares.

Nico’s foals are very much in demand and many are sold when just a few days old for substantial prices. Many of Nico’s children are out showing and winning both in hand and under saddle as well as in dressage, eventing and in the showjumping arena. His progeny are very bold, brave, with excellent paces and his truly wonderful calm temperament. They show a good technique over a fence and are regular champions on the County show circuit, regular contenders in the ridden classes at HOYS and RIHS.

Working Hunter, Ridden Sports Horse Plain Bob Doubles has been competing BSJA in Scotland and qualified for Scope and discovery 2nd round, Champ WHP at Fife show, Champ Nov WHP and Res OWHP at BSPS Scottish Summer show 09, 3rd in the Ruth Lears Horse Final held at the bsps winter champs qualified HOYS 2009 Int Working Hunter, qualified HOYS 2011. Endmoor Firedancer, Endmoor Firefly and Endmoor Fire Cracker. In hand Sport horse winners Bruzgies Boy, Just Diamonique sports horse yearling 1st Hambleton, 1st Barlow, 2nd Derbyshire Festival, 1st and 3rd Northern Horse Show, PUK 2007 3rd open Youngstock, qualified Rosevean Championship, 2nd Cedarwood Sports Horse in hand, 1st Yearling RH in hand, 3rd Newark cup, DJ Risley Youngstock RH/Hack, 4th Newark cup JLS Youngstock RH/Hack- qualified Bankswood. Arctic Nicoin qualified Ridden Coloureds at Royal International 2006, placed 4th at RIHS, 1st Open Coloureds and Reserve Champion PUK 2006, 2nd HOYS qualifier Kelso, placed 7th HOYS 2007. Qualified RIHS & HOYS 2009 - placed 8th. Qualified HOYS 2010. Coldicote Bits N Pieces, and Arctic Dancing Queen which won coloured foal at Northern Counties Pony Association Show October 2001 now a successful broodmare and dam of Rollestone Inde-cent. He is also the sire of coloured stallions Nemo’s Travels and Wainstones Fandango. Amadeus top class hunter with The Ledbury.
