Congratulations to Arctic Nicoin & Just Dandy- Placed 6th &7th Non Native Ridden Horse at HOYS 2007

This spectacular warmblood bred in Poland out of Elite stud book parents is beautifully marked being black, dark bay and white with no feather at all, big expressive paces, excellent conformation and a superb calm outlook on life with an excellent temperament. Having made a full recovery from a fractured pastern, Nico is now 100% sound and making excellent progress towards fulfilling his huge potential. He has passed a rigorous vetting and inspection by Weatherby's Non Thoroughbred Register to obtain a dual registered status.

Coloured Warmbloods have been bred in Poland for many generations as they combine the elegance of the Trakehner, with the quality of the thoroughbred and truly spectacular colour.

Nico’s blood line contains the French thoroughbred blood of Aquino, Tornado, Ballymena and the Trakehner blood of Traum and Eliop. Aquino won group 1 races – the Ascot Gold Cup, the Cryterian Saint-Cloud and also group 2 races the Doncaster Cup and the Pre-Daru. His sire, Tornado, won the Pre-Lupin ( group 1 race ) and the Pre-Daru. Traum, a successful son of Pilger who produced many graded Broodmares and also Eliop who was exported to America.

Traum jumped in two Olympics (Mexico and Munich) and produced high quality Stallion – Aspirant - exported to the USA. Hildalgo – from the Parsival / King Tom XX line - was known for throwing offsprings like himself with very good conformation and movement. He produced foundation Broodmares and six Stallions, including Celsius (great grandsire of Donauwind). Bard was a highly successful performance Stallion in his own right.

Recesja produced four coloured graded Stallions, all pure bred coloured Trakeheners including Rewir and his best son Nil (Nico’s Grand Sire) who have dominated Polands coloured breeding for a long time and descendents can be found all over Europe showjumping. Isaria was the dam and grand dam of graded mares Inga, Ida, Irga and Istra.

Nico is exceptionally well balanced proving to be very calm, sensible and shows a brave scopy jump over a pole, is bold and brave across country, has hacked out alone and in company, his intelligence making him an eager and ever willing pupil. He has shown in hand twice – winning both times, including at the 1997 Chaps Show at Southview – the coloured warmblood futurity two year old colt class. Nico’s career will now be in dressage and showing – he is currently working at elementary level dressage, placed every time out 2005.

It is the Wielkopolski (Wlpk) which has been used more extensively in sport, it has been used for eventing and Polish event teams have done well internationally. The breeding policy is highly selective and potential Stallions are first examined as foals, tested for conformation, paces and jumping technique and regularly tested thereafter before being allowed to be exported as breeding Stallions.

Centyfield Nico produces quality foals with fabulous paces and has an extremely high percentage of coloured foals from non coloured mares including Black, Grey, Chestnut and Cleveland Bay Mares.

Nico’s foals are very much in demand and many are sold when just a few days old for substantial prices. His progeny are very bold, brave, with excellent paces and technique over a fence and include, Just Dandy, Sports In Hand Winner, Placed 5th HOYS 2006 placed 7th RIHS 2006. Overall Supreme Ridden CHAPS International Show September 2006. 2007 Champion Cheshire County, Reserve Champion Newark, HOYS 2007 NN Ridden Final 6th. Amber Firelight (placed every time out – sports horse breeding), Spotted Another, placed every time out dressage gaining scores of 69%.T-Rudy Elementary Dressage Horse, qualified Irish National Champs 2006. Working Hunter, Ridden Sports Horse Plain Bob Doubles. Endmoor Firedancer, Endmoor Firefly and Endmoor Fire Cracker. In hand Sport horse Bruzgies Boy. Just Diamonique sports horse yearling 1st Hambleton, 1st Barlow, 2nd Derbyshire Festival, 1st and 3rd Northern Horse Show, PUK 2007 3rd open Youngstock qualified Rosevean Championship, 2nd Cedarwood Sports Horse in hand, 1st Yearling RH in hand, 3rd Newark cup, Dj Risley Youngstock RH/Hack, 4th Newark cup JLS Youngstock RH/Hack- qualified Bankswood. Arctic Nicoin qualified Ridden Coloureds at Royal International 2006, placed 4th at  RIHS, 1st Open Coloureds and Reserve Champion PUK 2006, 2nd HOYS qualifier Kelso, HOYS 2007 NN Ridden Final 7th.  Coldicote Bits N Pieces, and Arctic Dancing Queen which won best coloured foal at Northern Counties Pony Association Show October 2001. He is also the sire of potential stallion Nemo’s Travels and coloured stallion Wainstones Fandango. Many of Nico’s children are out showing and winning both in hand and under saddle as well as in dressage, eventing, hunting and in the showjumping arena Showjumpers include Vivien Westwood and Pollianska who was placed young horse classes Pre-Scope at Myerscough, talented showjumper and consistently jumping double clears BSJA.  Another of Nico's progeny, Towerco's Trully Talented Holmside CHAPS (UK) 1st Coloured Youngstock, 1st Coloured Open and Champion Overall, Lanchester Show 1st Coloured Youngstock and reserve champion overall, Northern Counties 1st Coloured Youngstock and reserve champion overall, Durham County 1st coloured Youngstock and champion, 1st Sports horse and champion and overall supreme champion in hand, Bellingham Show 1st hunters and champion, Chopwell show 1st coloured Youngstock, 1st coloured open and champion overall. Towerco's Pablo Princess North Yorkshire County 1st Hunters and champion, Great Yorkshire 2nd Hunters, CHAPS Championships 1st Sports Horse, 2nd Sport and potential performance, Chopwell Show 1st coloured Youngstock.

Nico has proven himself as an outstanding sire of show horses with many Championship winners.  We consider him to be a superb sire of outstanding competition horses and stallions of the future.
