Testimonials Progeny Photo Gallery Video

Redoubtable is an old-fashioned type of thoroughbred with excellent conformation and straight moving expressive paces, highly thought of by the racing world, he is a rare outcross as he carries no Northern Dancer bloodlines, so is an excellent choice for Northern Dancer line mares. An elegant horse who is short coupled, deep chested, good length of rein, excellent feet and a beautiful head with a very kind eye. He has a superb attitude and excellent temperament He first came to public stud in 2006, he produces quality stock (eldest now 3yo), he is the perfect sire to inject quality into heavier mares as well as giving thoroughbreds speed and stamina. A perfect gentleman at all times, we consider him to be a superb sire for top class show horses, shp's, whp's, intermediates and event horses as well as top class race horses, point to pointers and polo ponies. He shows a bold, careful loose jump. His champion bloodlines link him to some of the top racehorses of all time. He holds the record for the first fourteen year old to win a flat race in Britain since Be Hopeful in 1973. Having run 15 times in 2005 he had lost none of his incredible will to win, and is still as unblemished as the day he was born. To show his versatility during 2007 he will be shown in-hand as a riding horse/hack stallion, with the aim of qualifying for The Ottergale Supreme in-hand Championships at NPS Summer Championships and the Veteran Final at Olympia. How many ex-racehorses of his age would still have the soundness and quality to embark on an in-hand career at 16 years of age.

Redoubtable's in hand showing results:

Veteran Horse Society Regional Finals 8/9/07 3rd Olympia Qualifier

NCPA Shropshire branch Autumn Foal Show, 3rd Hack/Riding Horse Foal, 2nd Riding Pony. British National Foal Show-2nd small hacks.

In 2007 Supreme Champion Crown Florentine had a filly foal by Redoubtable, owner Johanna Vardon MBE of the National Foaling Bank was delighted and the mare is now back in foal to him again. This mare was Champion under saddle and also has 2 outstanding Supreme Champion Youngstock to her credit, we can only hope this filly will follow in her parents footsteps.

Among the many types of mares he covered in 2007 were 3 top class Polo mares, countless racing mares and top class showing mares. He is now well on his way to becoming not only a racing stallion but also a show hack stallion and a Polo pony stallion. He has covered a full book of mares in 2006 and 2007.

Book early to avoid disappointment for 2008.
His chilled semen is of excellent quality and from the doses sent out he has so far never failed to get a mare in foal with chilled semen.

“There can be little doubt that Redoubtable was a complete one off. For an entire to have run in more than 180 races, spanning 12 years bears the utmost testimony to his enthusiasm, his soundness and his temperament. When the good Lord made this horse he must have thrown away the mould!” Tom O’Ryan - Racing Post

“Redoubtable’s long and distinguishes career epitomises the key ingredients required in the modern racehorse………….Speed, athleticism, toughness and durability.” Simon Maplecroft - At The Races. Testimonials
