Horton Chapel was re-roofed and renovated in 2002 for the wedding of Mark Davison and Charlotte Parker. This was also the Jubilee year. On completion of the renovation the trustees and the villagers got together to arrange a celebration. It was decided that we should have a special service, and all the children in the parish received a Jubilee mug. These were presented by Mrs P. Thwaite, the oldest member of the congregation. Mrs Thwaite along with Mrs Moorhouse and Mrs Bancroft received a bouquet of flowers for all the support they have given the chapel over the years. This was followed by a barbeque and sports. An excellent afternoon was had by all.
