the weather as you all know has been pretty bleak this week and due to that there has not been to much action. However I did get a good pull on my line on Monday when i got a lovely Rainbow of about 10lb! my forth double of the season and one of the finest fish i have ever seen!! Drifting on to Bell point pulling a black blob on the dropper and an orange on the point, after a good 10 minute scrap it was safely returned. Mark Wilson carries on his good form with scores of 4 and 5 respectively during the course of the week. Them little cats boobies still doing the damage for him. Tony Taylor had 5 good fish on Saturday all from around Bell point and all falling for either his own buzzer or cormorant. Tony swears by his ultra slow intermediate line that seems to be getting the flies at just the right depth. the rest of the week had scores often of two fish with Bell point, Bens beach and Hollins being top spots.
DON'T FORGET IF YOU CAUGHT A DOUBLE FIGURE FISH THIS SEASON IT'S THE FISH OF ON SUNDAY THE 30TH. THE TOP CATCH OF THE DAY WILL RECIEVE A FREE SEASON TICKET FOR NEXT YEAR! For all the latest news or any information just give me a call at the lodge. Tight lines Matthew.

Sport: turbulent week weather wise with the bulk of the week written off due to gale force winds! On the few days the weather let up the fishing has been pretty good.
Bell Point and Bens beach seems to be the place to be either from the bank or an anchored boat. A few fish still come to nymphs on a floater, but its them Boobies that are coming in to their own! Mark Wilson can’t seem to do any wrong consistently landing 4 plus fish all on short sessions! Marks choice set up is an intermediate line with two orange blob boobies’ fished ultra slow.
Black fritz patterns are working well to with a floater been enough if the lure has a gold head.
To sum it up any break in the weather and the fishing is great even on a rough day find some shelter and you will be into fish!
BANKHOUSE
There are still numerous double figure fish been caught with small beaded bloodworms fished static doing the job. On the lure front cats whiskers retrieved slowly back from the islands are enough to tempt a good few fish.
Stocks regulars Mick and Ken Whiteside had a good session made all the more interesting when they spotted not one but three otters! That’s a rare treat and one to look out for hopefully they may be residents at the pretty small water.
