Keep it Simple
Unnecessary use of fancy Multimedia effects will simply annoy people if it stops your pages displaying.
Keep it fast
Most people will not wait, "why should they" it is vital that something attractive and intelligible appears within ten to twenty seconds and ideally the whole page loads within one minute.
Keep it easy to use
It is better to have many small specific fast loading pages which are clear and easy to navigate between than a few large confusing pages. Visitors most appreciate, fast and easy access to your information and message this results in return visits and sales.
Good Design is Vital
A happy surfer is a potential customer or supporter and will recommend your site to others.
